This Privacy Policy explains how Writstack ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use writstack.com. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Writstack does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use any of our tools. The text you enter into our tools is processed to generate results and is not stored on our servers after your session ends.
We collect non-personal usage data automatically through Google Analytics. This includes information such as your browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and general geographic location (country and city level). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
To prevent abuse of our AI-powered tools, we temporarily record IP addresses to enforce usage limits of 10 generations per hour per tool. These records are held in memory only, are never written to disk, and are automatically deleted after one hour.
Cookies
We use cookies to support Google Analytics and, if applicable, Google AdSense. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site and allow Google to display relevant advertisements. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We also use your browser's local storage to remember display preferences such as dark mode. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Newsletter and email communications
If you choose to sign up for the Writstack newsletter, your email address is transmitted directly to Hostinger Reach, our email marketing provider, and stored in their systems. Writstack does not store your email address on its own servers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. How we use your information
The usage data we collect through Google Analytics is used solely to understand how visitors interact with the site, improve our tools, and measure the effectiveness of our content. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Writstack does not sell personal information. Because we collect only aggregated, non-identifying analytics data, most CCPA provisions have limited applicability to our site. Our site may contain links to third-party websites including affiliate partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
Children's privacy
Writstack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our tools do not store any user-entered text, no personal information submitted through a tool is retained after the session ends.
